Hey guys, Daniel Dowling owner / trainer here at NJ DOGS with a quick thanks for reaching out for help with your dog.

Here is a little about me.

I was born and raised in the town of Brick on the Jersey Shore in Ocean County. I spent my days playing neighborhood sports, riding bicycles and staying out of trouble. I have relocated since then, but still close. I have a nice career with the State of NJ. I have tremendous support from the love of my life, my wife Kimberly since 2006. She gave me two amazing kids, Hannah & Daniel who I love dearly. With the great push from Kim, she told me follow my dreams. Not until now, I finally started to pursue the found passion of my life in Dog Training. Ever since I was born I loved dogs. My parents went to the shelter when I was 6 years old and came home with a Collie we named Mickey. I have always felt bad about it, because the dog didn’t last a week. It would chase me around the house and I would jump on to my bed to get away for it. When it finally calmed down. I would hang my feet off the edge of the bed and tease it to bite my feet because I was to young and did not know how to play with a dog. So Mickey went back to the shelter and that was it for dogs, even at age 16 my parents would tell me, “When you get your own house you can have a dog”. So years go by after buying the cars, the house, the children, I finally got my first dog, a Fawn Male Boxer name Ty. So I started with books after books from the library, then the book store reading and reading. I must say most dog training book are the same. I spent months researching dog training schools, academy’s, kennels, and pet stores around my area. I was not happy until, I met with some great trainer’s. Who have pointed me in the right direction to learn some great stuff. I found a dog trainer in the area that aloud me to shadow him. He has helped me with my learning, studying, and working dogs. I have since then have worked with many other trainers. If its not face to face like at seminars, its through the powers of the internet via picture, videos, webinars. Always looking to improve everyday. It has been an amazing journey with all the people and dogs that I have met and help. As the years go on, dog after dog, family after family. There is two special people. I could not forget, for all of their inspiration and up bring are my parents. I can’t say it enough thanks and I love you both.
