I recommend NJ Dogs Training LLC. purchased a shepherd puppy that had numerous puppy issues. Dan came to the rescue. I booked the three hour training class. Dan sat with us and asked questions about our issues we had with our puppy he was attentive and immediately started training with us. We really only needed an hour because in that time he had our puppy behaving exactly the way he needed to be. The rest of the time was spent training us!! Daniel is very knowledgeable about dog psychology and always up-to-date on the newest methods. Training and help doesn't stop there he is always readily available should you need additional help whether its a phone call or another session.

As most of my family, friends and colleagues know, I consider myself an experienced dog owner. I’ve had a dog in my life ever since I was 4 years old. So, when it came time to adopt my second Siberian Husky, I figured I was well equipped and ready for the challenge since Huskies can be a very demanding breed. Boy was I wrong!!! Just like people, every dog has a unique personality and behavior. At around 6 months, my new puppy Fredo decided he didn’t want to stay home alone anymore and every opportunity he had to destroy something in the house while I was at work and the girls were at school, he took it. After destroying “4” pieces of furniture, jumping up on the kitchen counter, taking dishes out of the sink and even chewing through a few wires and even the cable, I decided that was enough. My good friends the Zarichaks recommended Dan Dowling and NJ DOGS Training Center. From the first hour, it was immediately evident that he knew his way around this difficult breed and had a strong knowledge of dog behavior in general. Dan was able to give me countless training techniques and more importantly constant support. Dan doesn’t just focus on your dog, he will also train you. The key to a successful behavior modification for your dog is that you are fully committed and consistently follow through with training every day. Because of this, I now can recognize certain behaviors that have been problematic and address them immediately before there is an issue. I can confidently say, Fredo is now a happy and well-adjusted boy. His destructive behavior is a thing of the past. I feel very fortunate to have met Dan and NJ DOGS, because not only is he a fantastic dog trainer, Dan is a genuinely kind and caring person, who is never too busy to return a phone call or reach out to check in on Fredo. It says a lot about a trainer, when your dog not only show great improvement, but are so happy and excited each time they see him. Working with Dan is so much more than just a couple of classes. It is an ongoing relationship that benefits not just Fredo but my entire family. Can’t say enough about NJ DOGS……thanks so much Dan!

My husband is amazing with dogs. He puts in every effort he can into finding what works best for each dog he sees. If you are willing to put in the hard work to build a every lasting relationship with your dog than he would be the trainer for you & your furry companion.

Dan made such an impact in our dogs behavior in our first session. I was honestly amazed at the progress he made with our dogs. We had tried everything we knew to do with our lab mix that had a behavior of pulling when on a leash to the point of making walks an unpleasant experience. After our first session, she is now no longer pulling as she used to and walking has become pleasant. I will now have a jogging partner, which I've always desired with her, but it was impossible because of her pulling. I would highly recommend his training to others without hesitation.

Dan I really can't thank you enough!!! I appreciate the time you took with my daughter and I!! You are extremely knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior! Within the first few minutes of working with each of our 3 dogs you totally nailed their personality and gave excellent tips for us to work with each one!!! We have been working with them and what a difference it has made!! Thank you for following your dream!! It is truly your calling!!

We just had our first session today and I am amazed that my dogs attitude is already improving. I've been in the veterinary field for over 13 years but I haven't had a puppy of my own since I was a kid. I usually adopt older already trained dogs because of my busy schedule. My new puppy is medically challenged and was raised being tube fed with no siblings or mother. He has a lot of social skills to gain and needs some work on our end. I never felt rushed with Dan. He listened to our issues and took a lot of time to explain general dog behavior. Within the first hour, he had Phoenix's full focus. He learned a few commands immediately. We're very pleased already! If my dog doesn't become the best version of himself, today is proof it would only be his owner's fault. Looking forward to more training sessions!

Had a Great experience with Dan from NJ Dog Training. Researched and met several trainers but either the facility or the trainer wasn't what we were looking for. I called Dan and told him what we were looking to accomplish with training our new German Shepherd puppy. His program worked great for us. Our dog is doing great and we are going to be signing up for more lesson in the near future.

We love to help our clients learn how to enjoy their pups not to chase them around the house and yell at them. If you need a hand we are here to help improve your relationships with your dog.
